Low-carbon construction has gradually become of interest to many. Musician Liisa Akimof built a new, ecological residential building at Huopalahti station

The residential barracks is so far the largest residential building built with this technology, nail-free and glue-free.

The commissioning of the new residential building was approved at the end of August and the first residents were able to move in. The two-story, high model red solid wood house stands on a sturdy granite plinth.

The house is built from planks planed in a wave shape, which are attached to each other with a steel threaded rod. Geothermal heating is used in the building. The high, empty vent of the house enables gravity ventilation.
